This workshop introduces pupils to the principles of electric circuits and explores how sensors are used in everyday technology. Through practical experiments, pupils will design, build, and test simple circuits and use sensor-based activities to understand how engineers apply these technologies in the real world.
Understand the components of a simple circuit (cells, bulbs, buzzers, motors, switches) -Explore how circuits can be controlled using switches and sensors – Investigate how changes in the environment (light, sound, pressure) can affect a circuit – Apply problem-solving and teamwork skills to build and test designs – Recognise the role of circuits and sensors in the real-world (alarms, robotics, smart tech).
