Sentinus Digital Futures

Sentinus is delighted to bring Digital Futures back to schools across Northern Ireland, giving Year 10 students the opportunity to develop their digital skills, work with industry and compete for an incredible trip to New York City in March 2027.

Supported by leading industry partners including Allstate and PwC, Digital Futures helps young people build confidence, capability and ambition through a hands-on technology challenge.

The Challenge

Create an App of the Future that solves a real-world problem.

The programme begins with a free, two-hour Design Thinking & App Development workshop delivered in school. This can take place during a Year 10 Digital Technology class and can involve the full class.

Students will develop their ideas, create an app prototype and form teams of up to four to represent their school.

Pitch Your Idea

Selected teams will pitch their app and prototype in a Dragons’ Den-style semi-final and final, putting their creativity, problem-solving and presentation skills into action.

The Prize: New York City

The winning team and their teacher will travel to New York City in March 2027, where they’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the world’s biggest technology companies.
