STEM and Digital Skills Programme Facilitators

Sentinus is seeking experienced and enthusiastic self-employed STEM Programme Facilitators to support the delivery of our STEM and Digital Skills programmes in schools across Northern Ireland.

We currently encourage applications from the following council areas:-

Belfast City Council, Derry City and Strabane District Council, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and Mid Ulster District Council

Working with primary and post-primary pupils, facilitators will deliver engaging, hands-on workshops that introduce young people to real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, maths and digital skills. Our programmes aim to inspire curiosity, creativity and problem-solving while helping students understand future career opportunities in STEM.

Role Overview

Facilitators will deliver structured programmes in schools and community settings, supporting pupils to explore STEM concepts through interactive activities, teamwork and practical challenges.

Sessions are delivered on a half-day or full-day basis, depending on the programme.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver engaging STEM and Digital Skills workshops in schools across Northern Ireland

· Facilitate hands-on activities that encourage problem-solving, teamwork and creativity

· Inspire young people to explore STEM subjects and careers

· Manage classroom activities effectively and support participating teachers and pupils

· Travel to participating schools across the region as required

Experience & Skills

Applicants should have experience delivering educational workshops, training or outreach activities with young people.

Relevant experience may include:

· Delivering STEM education programmes or workshops in schools

· Experience as a STEM ambassador, outreach educator, trainer or workshop facilitator

· Teaching, tutoring or youth work with a STEM or digital focus

· Experience running coding, robotics, engineering, science or digital skills sessions

· Confident presentation and group facilitation skills

· Ability to engage and motivate young people in interactive learning environments

Requirements

· Experience working with children or young people in an educational or training setting

· Strong communication and facilitation skills

· Interest in STEM and digital skills development

· Willingness to travel to schools across Northern Ireland

Payment & Terms

· Self-employed role

· Paid per half-day or full-day programme delivery

· Mileage expenses can be claimed in line with Sentinus travel policy
