In partnership with Queen’s University Belfast, Sentinus is pleased to offer a programme to help enthuse KS3 students and promote uptake of computer science at at all levels.
Students in Years 13 & 14 become ‘ambassadors’ for the subject in your school, working with younger students to help develop their understanding and skills in computer science.
This is a unique opportunity to promote your subject and encourage Key Stage 3 students to select it for GCSE & A level. Ambassadors can be used to support a wide range of activities including computer clubs and mentoring of younger pupils.
The programme will include:
- Sentinus training for ambassadors in BBC Microbit and cybersecurity activities;
- QUB online support programme for ambassadors;
- QUB campus visit opportunities for ambassadors;
- Key skills development opportunity for ambassadors.
Registration for the 2024/25 programme is now closed.
