Junior Innovators is designed to encourage Key Stage 2 pupils to engage in STEM investigations and give them the opportunity to enter their work for a virtual celebration day on 16th June 2022. The event will offer schools a showcase for STEM work being done in the classroom.
Teachers are welcome to submit any STEM project work for the event. All pupils entering projects will receive a Certificate to recognise their work, and the best projects will be awarded trophies. Projects can be entered at three levels:
- Introductory – complete your STEM activity and submit photos or a picture collage of your work;
- Intermediate – complete your STEM activity and extension work, submit photos or a picture collage of your work;
- Advanced – complete all of the above, carry out further research and class project. Present your findings with a short video and/or project display.
In addition to the Project Exhibition there will be a number of online STEM Worshops and Science Shows for which you can register your pupils. After you have registered you will receive an email with details of how to submit project content and/or how to access the shows and workshops. Shows and workshops will remain available for you to view at any time until 30th June.
Workshops will include topics of chromotography, flight, fun maths, cartesian divers, simple motors, a STEM quiz and much more. We have two Science Shows based on space exploration, one exploring the solar system while the other focuses on a mission to Mars.
