Give your students the opportunity to investigate the exciting world of career opportunities offered by the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) sector in Northern Ireland.

This is one of the fastest growing sectors of the Northern Ireland economy and shows no signs of slowing down, it offers plenty of exciting opportunities for young people and is “the place to be”. Workshops, suitable for year groups 8-14, will last approximately 60 minutes and will include interactive elements to help young people understand what IT is, and the range of pathways into careers in the area.  We can accommodate up to 60 students in a workshop and can run multiple workshops across the school day. Workshops will:

  • Provide information about skills requirements and career opportunities within the IT sector in Northern Ireland;
  • Demonstrate the attractiveness of a career in IT by providing up to date information;
  • Offer guidance on the selection of appropriate subjects at GCSE and GCE level;
  • Illustrate the wide range of routes leading to a career in the sector.
