Sentinus Young Innovators provides an opportunity for young people to exhibit science and engineering project work and have it assessed for a range of awards.  All STEM projects are welcomed and you can enter project work which has been carried out within curriculum time or as an extra curricular activity.

Entry is open to all students aged 12 – 18 years of age who have carried out a project in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths.

Students compete, as individuals or groups, at three levels:

  • Junior – 12 – 14 years old;
  • Intermediate – 15 – 16 years old;
  • Senior – 17 – 18 years old.

If students aged 17 wish to enter project work completed in the previous academic year they will be allowed to compete in the Intermediate category.  Students will compete for a range of awards at the event including N.Ireland Young Scientist and N.Ireland Young Engineer 2024.

This years event will take place on Friday 29th November at Belfast Metropolitan College Springvale Campus, e3 Building,

398 Springfield Road Belfast BT12 7DU.
